The Zoo

We went to the zoo with some friends to see what the animals were up to. We got really cloase to the polar bear. It was an inch away from William on the other side of the glass, of course. That was amazing! We did a lot of walking and when we finally pooped out from that we took the bus tour riding on the top of the double decker bus!

Gabrielle's Piano Recital

Gabrielle did a terrific job at her piano recital! Richard thought she was the best piano player until an older boy played a song from "Pirates of the Caribean." I am sure it was the song that swayed him since a number of excellent pianists, who had obviously been playing longer than Gabrielle, hadn't. What a true brother!

After the recital we went to Buca Di Beppo for a celebratory dinner. We were able to sit at the kitchen table (actually in the kitchen) and watch the meals being prepared. For thoses who have not been to Buca Di Beppo it is a friendly Italian restaurant that specialize in enormous portions. It was a lot of fun before our meal but after we had eaten it kind of made us sick seeing all the plates piled so high with food!

Unfortunately, in the middle of dinner William had to go to the bathroom. Normally this is not so bad but this particular restaurant has some colorful pictures in the bathrooms. The one in particular that caught his eye was a boy with his pants down urinating. As you can imagine after Rick brought him back to the table and he started telling the other kids what he had seen in the bathroom, of course, Gabrielle and Richard then felt the urge to go. All in all before we left we all had an eyefull and so did our server (I think I forgot to mention that William demonstrated the picture of the boy he had seen complete with the pants being pulled down but minus the urinating, thank goodness).

Needless to say, we don't have any plans to go back to this restaurant.
